DAVID P. GERRITS

DAVID P. GERRITS, President/CEO

Prior to his position as President/CEO, David earned 30+ years experience in every aspect of construction, having worked in capacities from laborer to project director, and has even managed numerous projects overseas. Continuing the Gerrits' tradition, David values his clients, offering an in-depth insight into construction. With over 1.4 million sq. ft. of experience in Healthcare construction alone, his wide range of expertise also covers various educational, commercial, high rise, resort and office building projects. Extensive knowledge of new construction as well as renovation and retrofitting of existing facilities enables David to lead Gerrits Construction, Inc. in the production of high quality construction projects on time and within budget, while maintaining the continuous operation of existing facilities.


THOMAS J. LAWLESS

THOMAS J. LAWLESS, Vice President

We and our clients benefit from Tom's years of experience in effective value engineering, cost estimating and design techniques. Tom began working with the Gerrits family nearly 45 years ago! He is responsible for directing and overseeing the overall operation of a project, and excels in balancing the tasks of estimating, purchasing, project administration, subcontractor coordination, and labor management. Tom has contributed to GCI's success in building high-rise apartments/office buildings, multi-million dollar hotels and resorts, shopping centers, manufacturing plants and all types of healthcare facilities throughout the world.


CARLOS M. SIRGO

CARLOS M. SIRGO, Vice President

In 1983 Carlos began a long, successful career in the Gerrits' organization. Carlos served as Superintendent and quickly began a fast track career to upper management. In the years to follow, Carlos managed every aspect of construction, including managing over 150 projects in two years at our satellite office at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, as well as building Pepsi Cola plants around the world. Carlos' expertise comes from participating with the owners in every aspect of construction, from conception through the fast tracking construction schedules in existing facilities. Carlos carries the Gerrits philosophy, believing that the only successful projects are win-win situations.


TOM RUTHERFORD

TOM RUTHERFORD, Vice President

Over the last 31 years, Tom's vast knowledge has grown with experience in the construction and healthcare industries. No matter how large or small the project, Tom is experienced in every aspect of planning, budgeting, scheduling, and construction management. Tom has overseen numerous projects within existing facilities as well as green field projects. Many of Tom's projects occurred in active patient areas, which required extra sensitivity to multiple project phasing, to assure patient safety and coordination of hospital operations. Tom's administrative and management expertise has proved useful, as many hospital operational departments consist of staff in excess of 100 employees.
